About IHCI
18th International Conference on Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction
IHCI-2026 will be held from October 28–31, 2026, organised by the University of Nottingham (UNNC), Ningbo, China. Details: ihci2026.com .
The International Conference on Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction (IHCI) is an annual international conference in the Human-Computer Interaction field, where researchers explore challenges emerging in the complex interaction between machine intelligence and human intelligence.
IHCI presents the best of current HCI research and practice, emphasising innovation and quantified experience. It has emerged as a foremost worldwide gathering of academic researchers, Ph.D. and graduate students, top research think tanks, and industry technology developers. The proceedings of the conference are published by Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), Springer, and indexed in Scopus and other databases.

WACIIS-2026: The Workshop
The Fourth Workshop on Applications of Computational Intelligence and Interactive Systems (WACIIS-2026) is organised as a pre-conference workshop of IHCI-2026 and will be hosted at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, India, from August 29–31, 2026.
WACIIS-2026 provides a specialised forum for in-depth discussion of computational intelligence techniques — machine learning, deep learning, and neural networks — as applied to interactive systems, with particular emphasis on IoT and smart systems, conversational AI, and computer vision. Workshop participants will benefit from the broader IHCI-2026 ecosystem while engaging in tracks tailored to their research interests.
Scope and Objectives
- Foster research collaboration among academia, industry, and research institutions in computational intelligence and interactive systems.
- Provide a platform for young researchers and Ph.D. scholars to present their work and receive constructive feedback.
- Bridge the gap between academic research and industry applications in intelligent systems.
- Promote interdisciplinary research combining AI, HCI, cognitive science, and software engineering.
- Encourage the development of practical solutions for real-world problems using computational intelligence techniques.
Technical Co-Sponsorship
WACIIS-2026 is technically co-sponsored by the IHCI Society
IHCI Society
The IHCI Society is a professional organisation dedicated to promoting research and development in the field of intelligent human-computer interaction. The society brings together researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts to advance the science and practice of designing intelligent interactive systems.
